This Research Programme, made up of only three research groups in their own right and a fourth as- sociated group, lacked the critical mass to take on some measures. The new situation means they can, for example, get under way the project fund- ed by the CIBERER as part of its call for Transla- tional Research Projects: “Silent Corticotroph ad- enomas: Are these a subtype of non-functioning pituitary adenomas with more aggressive clinical behaviour?” This project is a transversal endeav- our by all the groups involved in the research into this type of pathologies, combining the best na- tional groups by pooling their collections of clini- cal cases to review the classification of this type of adenomas.
