One of the objectives in 2013 was to try to increase inflow of external funds to en-

hance funding/co-funding for staff and for research project development.

On the other hand, the budgets allocated for the Biobank and Metabolomics Plat-
form were reduced compared to previous fiscal years. Therefore, CIBERDEM seeks

to make better use of its resources and to encourage collaborative actions with
enterprises.
